Promaster 55mm IRND4X (.6) HGX Prime

I was a little skeptical about IR filters, but this one cut the color cast in my sunset landscapes completely. The glass feels incredibly solid, and I love how easily it wipes clean of dust.

The coating on this filter really does repel dust and smudges, which has saved me time cleaning shots in the field. I’ve noticed a big improvement in color accuracy when shooting in bright daylight, with no weird IR contamination. Definitely a solid investment for clean, crisp images.

I've been using this filter on my vintage prime lenses, and the grinding and polishing are so precise that there's zero shift in focus—sharp as ever. The dirt-repelling coating is a nice bonus for outdoor shoots.
