The thread on this adapter is machined smoothly, so mounting my shotgun mic on the camera's hot shoe took less than a minute. It's a solid, no-fuss solution for a very specific need.

Finally, a small adapter that actually screws on smooth and doesn't cross-thread. I used it to mount a microphone onto my camera's hot shoe and it held rock solid the entire shoot.

The thread conversion from 3/8" down to 1/4" is exactly what I needed to attach my field monitor directly to the camera's shoe. The metal feels solid and the fit is snug with zero wobble, which is more than I can say for the plastic adapters I've tried before.
