I was skeptical about the wide focal range on a Sony full-frame, but the autofocus is snappy and the chromatic aberration control is genuinely impressive.

The three aspherical lenses really do keep things sharp across the whole zoom range, and I’ve noticed zero chromatic aberration even in high-contrast scenes. It’s become my go-to walkaround lens for travel.

I was a bit skeptical about the image quality at the long end, but the three aspheric lenses really do keep chromatic aberration to a minimum—sharp and clear even at 300mm.
