Promaster Wrinkle Resistant Backdrop 5x9 - Black

Finally a backdrop that actually stays smooth right out of the bag—steamed it lightly while hanging and it looked perfectly matte with no creases. The 5x9 size is just right for full-body shots without taking up too much studio space.

I was worried about wrinkles ruining the shot, but hanging this up and hitting it with a bit of steam from a handheld steamer made it perfectly smooth. It gives a really clean, professional look to portraits without any annoying reflections.

Steamed out every fold in about ten minutes while it hung, and the surface is perfectly matte so there’s zero glare in my strobes. For a 5x9 black backdrop, it’s surprisingly lightweight to clip up and smooth enough that I don’t have to clone anything out in post.
