Effortless freedom

The Sigma 16-28mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary Lens for Leica L is a versatile and high-performance ultrawide zoom lens that provides a great range of focal lengths in a small and lightweight package. It features a fast f/2.8 constant aperture that allows for the use of faster shutter speeds in low light scenarios, and its shallow depth of field makes it ideal for closeup shots. This lens also utilizes a complex arrangement of specialized aspherical and low dispersion glass elements to effectively suppress chromatic aberration and produce stunningly sharp and clear images.

Uncompromising optical performance within a compact body

Integrating three FLD and four SLD elements, this zoom achieves an impressive level of correction for aberrations throughout the zoom range. Super Multi-Layer and Nano Porous Coatings have also been applied to improve contrast and color rendering by reducing lens flare and ghosting when working in strong lighting conditions. The inner zoom & focus mechanism keeps the dimensions of the lens constant throughout the zoom range and at all focus distances. This design feature allows for almost no balance point shift and a fixed front element, making it an ideal instrument for videography, travel, and landscape photography.

Ellie ★★★★★

I was surprised by how lightweight this lens is for an ultrawide zoom—the small body made a huge difference during a full day of shooting handheld. The 16mm end gave me clean, sharp shots of tight interiors without any visible distortion.

William ★★★★★

The f/2.8 aperture held up beautifully during a dimly lit indoor shoot, and the zoom ring is buttery smooth the whole 16-28mm range. It’s genuinely impressive how compact this thing is for what it delivers.

Matthew ★★★★★

Packed this ultrawide into a small pouch and it barely added weight to my camera bag, which is exactly why I grabbed it for travel. The 16-28mm range covers everything from tight interiors to landscapes without swapping lenses, and the f/2.8 stays bright even when the light drops.
