Paterson Micro Focus Finder

The Paterson Micro Focus Finder is designed to magnify the image projected onto the enlarger baseboard, allowing the grain structure of the negative to be precisely focused before exposing the printing paper. The adjustable eyepiece can be fine-tuned to individual eyesight by moving it up or down until the crosshair appears sharp, and then locking it in place with the provided screw. Additionally, a sliding shutter protects the internal mirror when the finder is not in use.

Lily M. ★★★★★

Finally nailing focus on 35mm negatives is effortless—the magnified grain is so sharp I can see individual silver crystals. The built-in eyepiece diopter adjustment was a lifesaver for my aging eyes, no more squinting over the easel.

Aurora ★★★★★

I was getting soft prints before I got this focus finder, but now the grain snaps into perfect sharpness every time. The built-in eyepiece is comfortable and the image stays bright even in dim room light.

Ryan ★★★★★

The grain snaps into focus so clearly through this finder that I finally stopped guessing on enlarger adjustments. It’s solidly built and sits flat on the baseboard, which makes a huge difference when you're dialing in that sharpness for a big print.
