Hahnemühle reisdagboek (3,5 x 5,5", liggend, 62 vel)

The paper is so smooth and thick that my waterbrush glides without any buckling, and the compact landscape size fits perfectly into my coat pocket. I've filled half the pages already during my commute sketches.

The paper handles fountain pen ink beautifully without any bleed-through, which is exactly what I wanted for detailed sketches. I've been keeping it in my jacket pocket every day this week, and the compact size is surprisingly practical for quick urban scenes.

The landscape orientation is perfect for quick plein air sketches—I can fit a whole scene width-wise without cramping. Paper handles wet washes nicely for a travel-sized book, and 62 sheets means I won't run out mid-trip.
