The contrast is gorgeous even in flat midday light, and pushing it two stops still holds shadow detail without getting muddy. Grain is present but tight, exactly what I want for street work.

Finally found a 35mm film that handles low-light scenes without that muddy look. The high speed is perfect for freezing a friend’s band on a dimly lit stage.

Shot a roll at a dim indoor show and the grain still looked great wide open at 1/60. Fast action didn't blur on me either. This is my go-to 400 speed black and white now.
