The coma correction on this lens is ridiculous—streetlights and distant neon stay as clean pinpoints even wide open at f/1.4. I've been pixel-peeping shots from a rainy night walk and the edges just don't smear like my old glass did.

Shot my first night concert with this lens last weekend, and the coma correction is unreal – stars and stage lights stayed perfectly round, no bloating at the edges. The autofocus locks on fast enough for candid street work too.

Finally, a wide-angle lens that keeps coma flare under control for astrophotography. The build quality is solid and the focus ring has a smooth, damped feel that makes manual adjustments a pleasure.
