Promaster Step Down Ring - 82mm-77mm

Finally, a step-down ring that actually screws on smoothly without binding. The precision machining is obvious — it seated perfectly on my 82mm lens and held my 77mm filter securely. No more struggling with cheap rings that cross-thread.

Was a bit worried about getting a cheap step-up ring that might bind, but the machining on this 82-77mm piece is impressively smooth, and it screws onto my lens and filter without any wobble. Saves me from buying another set of filters.

The threads on this 82mm-77mm ring are buttery smooth, and it fits my filter snugly with no play at all. Makes perfect sense to match thread sizes without any wobble.
