Ilford SFX200 35mm 36Exp

Shooting into the sun gave me halos and lift in the shadows that I've never gotten from standard B&W stock. That extended red sensitivity to 720nm really changes how foliage and skin tones separate. One roll was enough to make this my go-to for moody outdoor portraits.

Finally got around to testing this with a red filter, and the way it rendered clouds against a dark sky was exactly what I hoped for. The 36 exposures gave me plenty of frames to play with different contrast settings.

Used a roll for landscape shots at dusk and the extended red sensitivity gave the clouds that dramatic, almost infrared look. It handles pushing to 800 with decent contrast, though grain gets a bit more noticeable. Perfect for experimenting with black and white without going full infrared.
