Canon Battery Pack BP-828

The battery lasts noticeably longer than the older one I was using, and I appreciate that it has no memory effect so I can top it off whenever I want. It’s lightweight and fits perfectly in my camera without any extra bulk.

The lithium-ion chemistry holds a charge noticeably longer than my older packs, and I’ve topped it off mid-day without any drop in performance so far. It’s been a solid week of shooting and I haven’t hit the dreaded memory effect once.

Switching from original to this third-party battery, I’m relieved the lithium-ion holds a charge perfectly for a full day of shooting with no memory effect issues. It's definitely lighter than the old one, which makes a noticeable difference on longer shoots.
